The Genesis of a Green Vision
Agartech Ventures began its journey in 2023 as Agartech Global PLT, more than a legal entity — it was the birth of a mission to supply the world’s rarest agarwood (Kynam) through sustainable, ethical practices. Founded by agroforestry experts with 30+ years of combined experience, the company committed itself to cultivating not just trees, but a legacy of ecological and economic value.
Cultivating Excellence & Rapid Growth
Through rigorous R&D, Agartech developed hybrid Kynam saplings capable of producing resin naturally, eliminating artificial inoculation. By December 2024, the company had cultivated over 300,000 saplings, validating its proprietary methodology and marking a new standard in high-survival, high-growth agarwood propagation.
Strategic Corporate Evolution
To match its accelerating growth and partnership potential, Agartech transitioned from a PLT to a full-fledged private limited entity: Agartech Ventures Sdn Bhd. This legal upgrade empowered the company to scale operations, meet regulatory standards, and pursue national agroforestry leadership. On January 23, 2025, the company was officially incorporated by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
Forging the Future of Agarwood
Agartech is now working toward producing 1 million saplings by 2026, establishing downstream industries, and building a fully integrated Agarwood Industry Hub/City. With long-term goals to introduce halal, ESG-certified gaharu products, the company aims to elevate agarwood as Malaysia’s Third National Commodity, placing the nation at the center of Southeast Asia’s sustainable forestry economy.
